A new (and superior) healthcare organization

Pros

The leadership team and every employee at Grand Rounds walks the walk and is 100% committed to improving health care for everyone, everywhere. There is a constant level of innovation, excitement and drive that creates an environment where nothing is impossible; something that is not typical for a healthcare organization. We see the positive impact to individual members on a daily basis and that keeps everyone focused on the member, above all else.

Cons

A pro and a con: it is a fast-paced environment that never stops. The learning curve for new employees can feel a bit steep and there is a sense of overwhelm for the first months. The good news is that everyone at GR has been there, so everyone is there to help. GR is scaling quickly and growth is faster than some of our formal operational frameworks. Lots of work to create some more formal processes to help scale the company effectively, but it's a work in progress.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. We're glad to see how much you value our leaders and colleagues' genuine commitment to our mission and drive to innovate. Yes - we tend to be impatient optimists and can move quickly when we see an opportunity to do things better, different, etc. It is a good reminder that in order to truly scale, we need to work with our team to set realistic expectations and ensure we are setting ourselves up for success in a sustainable way.

Pros

Great opportunity for continued growth. Exposed to many different projects/opportunities. Company is very patient centered. Great company culture and benefits.

Cons

Too much work for any one person and this is true of all roles, feels at times disorganized or trying to do too much causing less focus to complete whats needed to be done. Difficulty around accurate forecasting.

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the growth opportunities, positive culture and benefits. You and our fellow colleagues contribute to that culture every day by bringing a humble, problem-solving attitude focused on the needs of our patients, our customers and fellow team members. Thanks for the reminder to focus on what is most important and avoid spreading ourselves too thin. We are lucky to have great opportunities to help people in many ways, especially during this unusual time, and our eagerness to innovate may sometimes lead us to take on a lot in a short period of time. Our OKR structure can help us focus on what is most important and keep us anchored in priorities. We welcome you to talk to your manager to help the company and your team focus on goals that are most important and de-prioritize others so that we can deliver the best experience for our members and employees alike.
