Pros

The people, they join with good intentions! That’s about it

Cons

When I started, it felt like everyone was on the same page on being mission driven and changing the access to healthcare to everyone! The focus on teams was the member and everything was anti metrics that wasn’t in favor of helping our members. That’s now out the windows and it’s $$$$$$ and metrics. It was easy to drink the company koolaid when your work was helping members. Now it’s drink it or leave! The worst part is what’s falling apart internally! The people team did mass layoffs to turn around and hire “contractors” months later. Now they have low engagement scores and BS reasons for what’s going on and not looking at their poor decisions for why everyone is unhappy. The CEO or CPO has lost their way and it’s sad to see such a great company go to a model of not caring about the voice of their employees. It once was a core value but is now more lip service. If you want to know whats truly going on. Look at the reviews from member facing roles and engineering positions and see that they are tanking and those populations aren’t happy!

We definitely hear your concerns about the shift in focus and its impact on morale. We remain committed to our mission and to living by our core value of "We Put the Member First." Your perspective is super important on where we may be missing the mark, and we will make sure to share it with our leadership team. Thanks for this feedback.

Once was good but declining quickly.

Pros

Work from home, benefits, pay

Cons

Every year they let more people go yet sign more companies as clients. You will work two or three full time jobs at a time. Management has forgotten what it’s like to care for the employees. Every new thing they try will make your job harder and you will be told they are fixing it. Years later it’s still not fixed. They joke and think it’s funny to say we build the plane as it’s flying. What they really mean is every project and new service line will be a huge mess stressing everyone out and causing way more stress than is needed. The CEO and management like to say they care but everything they do shows they do not. The CEO loves to hear his own voice. He’s a show pony and nothing more.

Bad work environment

Pros

Good salary, benefits and vacations

Cons

- For the company you are only relevant if you have a management position - A lot of bureaucracy, if you have an idea, suggestion or complaint you have to communicate with multiple people and it is not a guarantee that they will listen to you - There is poor planning in work tasks, many times you have weeks or months to do a small implementation and other times you only have 1 or 2 days to finish something that requires much more time

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this feedback! This sounds super frustrating and is never the experience we want for anyone. We’re actively working to launch recognition programs across the company and to streamline our processes to reduce bureaucracy and improve planning. Your review offers important insight for us as we make these changes.
