Pros

I've never worked at a more mission driven organization, we put our members first when faced with challenging decisions. It's refreshing to work at an org that actually lives up to its mission. We are a market leader reshaping the healthcare landscape, empowered by our customers (large self-insured orgs) to craft solutions that drive down the cost of care. As a PM I've been given a lot of autonomy however there is a lot of pressure to move fast.

Cons

We have accrued a lot of tech debt due to the speed of development, this has caused lots of challenges as we focus on scale. Onbaording could be better for the engineering and product org. Better documentation and training on the current state and tools that we use would help new hires get up to speed faster.

Thanks for sharing this! Our mission is vital to both our business and employee experience and we're happy to hear it's been such a big part of your Included experience. We take this feedback seriously as we know that as we scale, we have some pain points. We appreciate your candor.

Pros

Work with some of the most passionate, incredible people I’ve met in my career. Organization is very committed to upholding its mission and attracting talent who are also mission driven. Open to finding new ways of doing things. Opportunities to grow and branch out to learn new skills. Awesome benefits package!

Cons

Expect a tech start up culture, with lots of change and a need to remain flexible. If you thrive in ambiguous environments and can come to the table with ideas on how to implement new processes, you have an ability to impact change and do well. Most roles are remote, which can be challenging for some individuals to adapt to. But on the other hand, this has been a strength as it allows for diversity of thought since employees are scattered across the country and bring their own lived experiences to build a stronger company.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your review and are glad to hear you've had a positive experience at Included Health. Making sure team members feel valued is important to us too, which is why we have programs like our experience-based tenure recognition through Blueboard. We're always looking for ways to continue to celebrate the impact of our team and will keep your feedback in mind as we do.
