Pros

Working with Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations. Acceptable amount of time off.

Cons

Promotions are rare unless you are a favorite. To get promoted you basically have to be in the right place at the right time. You don't get promoted based off your accomplishments as an individual and it relies on the performance of things beyond your control. Corporate managment only cares about you as an employee once you put in your two weeks notice. They market themselves as a Christian based company, but you will work all holidays, Sundays- unless of course you are in corporate. They are essentially a communications company, but are horrible with communication and corporate looks down on Operations.

Pros

The pay is okay. The fellow communicators are very friendly and helpful. I really liked the games we played to raise morale.

Cons

Very poor training. You are supposed to get 40 hours of extensive training, and you don't. The trainer showed us the same movies several times, just to fill in the time. Most of the time, we sat and talked among ourselves. That said, when we had to go on the phones, we didn't have a strong understanding of what to do. When we called for help, it took up to 10 minutes for someone to come. Instead of showing you what to do, they did it for you, so you don't learn how to handle the situation properly. There was constant stress because, if you did not reach your goal, you get a warning, then ultimately could lose your job. With the supervisors not willing to come when called, it was hard to certify.

Pros

Benefits were acceptable. Raises were fantastic and reflected the hard work I put in. "Open Door" policy with corporate - they wouldn't always embrace ideas but they would listen. Clean working environment.

Cons

High stress environment. Towards the end of my employment communication/coaching all but stopped with my manager - this isn't a "con" towards the company as a whole but more or less reflects improvement opportunities at my particular center.
