Pros

Sadly, there are no pros.

Cons

Senior execs have no sense of partnership with their customers. Treated like slaves. SOW was unprofitable from the start, which I inherited, and had to make up charges/ fees to make some profit. HR dept were puppets to senior execs (won't call them leaders). Stay away, its a sweat shop. Backstabbing, "it's not my job" mentality...never received any training on their tools, but figured it out on my own. Worked 70-80 hrs per week, only to be walked out without notice or package because they had to lower their rates to win contract renewal. My replacement is paid half as much, and working as many hours, and wasnt given any bonus. Glad I am not there...nightmare is over.

This is not the typical Insight experience at all. It sounds like you might have inherited a bad project and was unable to rescue it. We're very sorry that your experience was unpleasant. If there is something specific you'd like us to know, please email us at glassdoorfeedback@insight.com. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Great place to work when I started. Great group of teammates, and everyone worked very well together. The support staff (contract and SOW's) were amazing.

Cons

No loyalty to employees. Management tends to only support those who they liked (regardless of performance). If you were not one of those employees, good luck. Expect to be on the list for a company "reduction if force" every 8-10 months (most recent one in April of this year) if they decide to acquire another company or miss their number on wall street (or you manager dislikes you, even though you are making your numbers). You need to play the "game" in order to succeed.

Pros

There are definitely people who care about their work and go the extra mile. The pay is decent. They do have some interesting perks like bring your dog to work day, family outings, lunch being brought in for the company by partners. They do promote from within.

Cons

I think your experience largely depends on where you work. Everything in Sales is a constant fire drill. Everything is last minute and frantic which leads to a lot of stress. Everyone seems frustrated, overworked and tired. For being a tech company, some of the systems are ridiculous. Would Insight tell a company who came to them for a reporting solution that they needed to create a report in Access from data in SAP and then compare it to data in Excel? These types of cumbersome processes are the types of things employees deal with everyday. The health insurance is high deductible, and isn't up to the benefits you find at other companies. The only bonuses given are to Sales. Unless you're a sales rep, there are no incentives, rewards or swag. How about recognizing the staff who helped your company achieve the sales? It's a clique-ish, high school environment. It was when I was there and my friends who are still there say it hasn't gotten any better. Sad. I'm told they had a re-brand this year, but it seems like the same old company.

We are glad you recognized our efforts to promote within. We encourage teammate growth with a variety programs focusing on career development. Over the past few years we have invested in health care solutions for our teammates. This investment includes a competitive insurance plan, a Health Savings Account, an on-site health center in Arizona along with a variety of other wellness initiatives. We want to ensure our teammates have access to resources they need to keep themselves and their families healthy. We take all feedback very seriously and I have provided your review to our leadership. We appreciate your time for writing a review.
