      Tough, technical and fun

      Pros

      Everybody is technical and driven. Bleeding edge technologies and projects are always occurring. Ability to do anything across the span of IT and grow every skill. A lot of internal growth areas and more cross training than I've seen anywhere else I've been.

      Cons

      Can be some long hours and weekends.

      IT services teams are led by weak leadership who blame others for their shortcomings.

      Pros

      Exposure to new technology from vendors who use insight. Bonuses are quarterly. Lots of in company training. Vendors bring in breakfasts often.

      Cons

      Many. Leadership in the managed services division is awful from the VPs and directors. They will lie to you on hiring in and then avoid that discussion all together. In manager meetings, defending against litigation is discussed regularly. I was shocked to learn this. And now I know why. Insight does not treat their employees well and they treat those who leave even worse. Read the legal documents upon hiring. That ought to give you an idea.

      Pros

      This is a good jumpstart to your career, however only if based in Watertown office. Chicago and NY offices are largely ignored though they have the projects everyone wants to work on. Exec team communicate consistently which is helpful.

      Cons

      Not a great place for experienced professionals. Too much 'us and them' culture between the offices. Reputation is getting quite poor with partners, with a lot of negative feedback in the industry (this seems to be due to underwhelming delivery, so keep this in mind for your resume) Exec management are trying to control the message to our parent company Insight, with loyal employees who don't drink the kool-aid shunned. So a toxic cultural situation is pervasive. Benefits are very poor, this is probably the #1 reason people are leaving.
