      Managed Services and lack of pay/benefits/opportunity

      Pros

      Like others before have stated, great place to learn the ropes and begin a technical knowledge base to start a career however, I would advise against any long term career at Insight as there are better opportunities elsewhere. PTO that accrues after tenure is adequate. Coworkers are generally pleasant to be around.

      Cons

      Employees pay for their own medical, high deductible plan ($3000 out of pocket until insurance pays coverage) and is extra cost to the teammate. Starting pay rate and seasoned rate does not come remotely close to industry standards for RNOC management. For a Fortune 500 company, supplies are scarce and not readily available. Due to lack of competitive pay and promotion, talent retention is almost obsolete.

      Good entry level work, nothing else

      Pros

      If you are getting your feet wet in the IT industry for network, sysadmin, etc, this will be a good first place out of college, military, etc. You would be exposed to a lot and get to feel out some technologies, and see a corporate environment with not many expectations on prior work experience. Your lateral coworkers will be cool folks to work with.

      Cons

      The management is terrible and has no idea where they are headed all the way up. Google their continued history of high turnover and layoffs. Google the exec's history with prior companies also nose-diving. Even the benefits you get you will not be allowed to exercise. Great place for entry experience, then get out.

      Pros

      The Pay was good. The time off was good. They had some really good people working for them. Not much else was.

      Cons

      They do not give the training needed to succeeded. Not clear on the expectations. They terminated me because I took all of my vacation for a trip with my wife. They care more about image than getting the job done right Upper management had no involvement.
