Pros

-Lots of networking and happy hours -Good sales experience -Some free gifts from partners -Room for growth -Some managers are great -Don't feel micromanaged and you can run your book of business how you want as long as you're doing your job and making quota

Cons

-We found out that they are paying new hires fresh out of college with barely any experience at least $10k-$20k more in base pay than those of us who were hired a couple of years ago, who are only making $30k-$35k in base. With how long it takes to make actual money for the company by building up your book of business, those of us who have been working on accounts for a while are way more valuable than new hires and deserve to be paid at least what they are making. The commission takes way too long to actually make, especially a good amount of commission, and we have been working hard to build up our books and relationships with these businesses. Are we not worth anything to this company? Even though we will make you more money than a new hire will? Very interesting. With the rise of inflation and insane cost of living, Insight should be paying us more in base pay. What particularly irks me is that these new hires are male and are making more than my female coworkers in base pay. But the company wants to claim to be inclusive and a place for women in business. So why not put your money where your mouth is and pay us the same? -Every support team and partner team you depend on to help you close a sale is so disorganized and gives you incorrect info that it's detrimental to your sales and makes everything so chaotic. It's very stressful feeling like you're doing the work that's meant to be done by 5 different teams yourself and still not being compensated fairly. -Takes over 2 years to build up your sales books enough to make any decent commission -PTO does not roll over into the new year in states that don't require it by law (Arizona is my state) despite the company claiming to be ethical. -Lots of toxic positivity from leaders when you express genuine concerns. -They will increase your quota mid sales quarter so it's unobtainable for you to reach and then they don't have to pay you more in commission.

Pros

Company has access to virtually every component needed to deliver end to end IT solutions to any customer. The ability to succeed and win business is there.

Cons

Company has extremely weak middle level management more interested in completing reports than getting results. Focus on the wrong go to market strategies makes it tough to win business.

Pros

Insight offers a good culture, overall they recognize you and the management and training in some areas is really good.

Cons

In this role you will be putting your blood sweat and tears into building your book. It can be grueling, challenging and frustrating getting things done. While SA managers try to help do not expect to be given much you must work for it. In addition the current management changes have made it frustrating as they change your quota mid quarter moving the bar so you aren't making commission until a higher number. Upper management doesn't seem to care much about employees, and they think sending a quick template is sufficient. It can be very frustrating, disheartening and challenging especially as pay is low so you are reliant on trying to make commission so when they raise the goal it makes it harder to earn commission in a starting role.
