Micromanagement from DM’s and above. Marketing is disorganized and there’s a lack of communication throughout the company. Distribution is lacking, trucks are almost always incorrect/missing items (which you’ll be blamed for, even when it’s out of your control) Favoritism is prevalent, and there’s entirely too much high school type drama. External hires will always be paid more, but beware - turnover rate is insane for a multitude of reasons. No matter what you do, nothing is ever enough for upper management, they don’t care about the circumstances within the store - and the DM will threaten to fire you if it means it protects her (new district manager for eastern carolina’s, previous DM was lovely!) Company has grown entirely too fast, without the support it needs. They’ve let so many people go in recent months due to “restructuring” aka they owe Krispy Kreme a lot of money and can’t afford much anymore! My health declined a significant amount working here, you do not have time away from work if you work at a high volume store, you will constantly be contacted on your days off, even on PTO (by your DM of course). You will literally become an insomniac if you aren’t already one. If you value your partner, family, or friends, you will rarely see them because you work until 3am! I cannot recommend anyone to work here, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere if you’re considering working for this company.
