Pros

May gain work experience and meet good coworkers. Those were the pros for me.

Cons

HR and management did not know what they were doing. There was no formal onboarding or training. Lack of equity in compensation. You get the feeling that the management is not for your best interest. During the 5 years I was there, I never received a cost of living or performance increase. The CEO is not transparent with staff and is overly paid, while they make the excuse that as a non-profit, they can't afford to pay staff decent wages. I agree with other reviewers that managers tended to be promoted from within but received little to no management training.
