Pros

Helping diabetics understand their situation.

Cons

Discriminatory management. They put the cart before the horse all the time and expect lower level staff to “figure it out” while micromanaging them. They have forced the entire inside sales staff to work in non-OSHA compliant headquarters. Their headquarters, that was non OSHA compliant, actually had feces and urine pouring up through the sales floor and expected the team to continue working there. Their inside sales team is all squished into one tight office, unfortunately causing daily HIPPA violations exposing every customer on the phone to conversations in the background by other sales reps exposing patients protected health information. Don’t be fooled, top performers do not advance. In fact, they promote the reps with a poor understanding of the business and a history of poor performance numbers, as long as they act a certain way. They practice active age discrimination in the hiring process for inside sales and only hire 21 year old children right out of college. If you are over 30 and apply here, and are not offered a position for inside sales, you’ll have a case for age discrimination. When management makes a mistake and causes pain and distress to their employees, they point the finger back at their employees. When the new CEO took over, and when the company started answering to wall street instead of their patients and their employees, the company culture took a dive and many employees in every department stopped caring about their work. This company used to be a good company to work for. They are growing too fast for their own good and don’t care about the ramifications of their actions on their employees.

Pros

The product makes such a huge difference in so many lives, with potential to impact many more. There are many projects going on at any one time, so there’s plenty of opportunity to learn.

Cons

The company is experiencing growing pains, which is not unusual. As I’ve learned over the years, every company (as do most relationships) has their own version of dysfunction, it’s just a matter of whether or not you can live with your company’s particular dysfunction, and, hopefully, be an agent for positive change. From my perspective, there is some truth in all of the recent reviews, both the positive and negative reviews.
