There's such needed to improve

Pros

ok benefit if economy doing ok free gym center onsite

Cons

incompetent senior management that's as bad as you can get in a company. IDT recent generations of top management did many damage to the company, it's amazing how board tolerate them for so long and everytime there's chance to improve they pick ones of same breed.

A good place for engineers to work that are heading towards retirement.

Pros

Good work environment, most of the employees are very nice and eager to help. Divisions share information openly. Did not feel like there was any inter-department competition. For the most part, management encouraged you to develop your career through training. Very relaxing atmosphere, no pressure to meet deadlines or tape out dates. Flexible hours, very few worked more than 40 hours a day.

Cons

A very slow moving company, senior management doesn't like changing with the times. Everyone moves at a snails pace, and In the semiconductor industry that means the company gets only to participate in niche markets with little chance for growth. Many employees are in retirement mode, so they take 2 hour lunches and work about 4 hrs a day max. Not many are willing to go the extra mile to excel. Very limited chance for promotion. Sometimes it feels like working for the government.

A nice place to retire

Pros

Excellent work/life balance. A good place to retire. People are generally friendly. You are not confined to your own cubicle. Management seems to encourage you to learn what you want.

Cons

Not much need to learn. People are too laid back to be motivated. Talents are hard to come by and retain. Company brand awareness is low. There is a lack of community sense.
