Horrible Place to work

Pros

Lots of overtime that you can work for extra money. Compensate very little for gas money when driving an individual.

Cons

Other staff are constantly gossiping and causing trouble and fights between staff. When the manager is confronted about this, the manager turned around and told that person you said something, causing more issues. The manager is undertrained and underqualified to be working as that position. They also lie about the dangerous of the job until after you are working, this comes with no benefits and no breaks. An employee got hit in the nose and got it broken by an individual and the company did not help pay medical bills or give time off to recover. She got fired before ever getting her money.

Value of life isn't that great

Pros

Working with individuals who really benefit from the care they are receiving. The clients I got to briefly meet were so sweet.

Cons

I was hired then never went back after my 2nd day of orientation. They have so many strict rules for their clients that I just don't agree with. They weren't allowed to wear cartoon character shirts, color, or even watch cartoon. I'm sorry but if you have the mentality of a child enjoy those things it shouldn't matter if you color or not! I was instructed to tell families what gifts they could or could not give their loved one. Went wayyyy over the line on rules.

Pros

The clients were everything to me. If you truly want to work in this field it's super rewarding but the company is god awful.

Cons

I honestly can't believe this place has such a high rating and it makes me question it a little lol. Worked for them for over almost 3 years and saw so many managers, DSP's, and job coaches cycle through the door. They're absolutely fine with allowing managers to abuse and make fun of clients as well as having to work with some of the most horrible coworkers I've ever worked with. Half of them got legit kicks out of poking fun at our clients and upsetting them. Yet they would get promotions and we were told those coworkers were good people just having a rough day??? The abuse occured for months on end sometimes before that person would quit. If you have a consience it'll be really hard to work here for very long.
