      Pros

      Intel does provide more than fair compensation. They have a focal process that is at least designed to be fair, but a lot of things have recently been removed that I believe made the process more transparent. They claim it was for expediancy reasons, but who knows...

      Cons

      Lots of bueracracy. Work is very slow unless its becomes a priority to management. Unfortunately, Intel has a very weak hiring process, and a lot of bad apples get in. 20% of the workforce does 80% of the work.

      Great place for engineers ..

      Pros

      Great engineering workplace, truly innovative .. hunting ground for phd's. Terrific systems in place, world class manufacturing systems/facilities. The hi-tech stuff can be quite over-whelming at first.. which is why the enginnering staff is full of like-minded phd graduates. Its the market leader by a huge margin and it helps when your closest competitor is struggling. Nice benifits and health care. No official leave requirements.. lots of flexibility and balance for career and life.. really a great place to work at. Nice place to work at if you have family around.
