The only downside is you most likely will have to relocate in order to be promoted and as in most hospitality positions the pay is not great until you get into a MGMT position.

Lack of training - I spent 2.5 days with the Corporate trainer and did do video conference calls to touch base and go over things occassionally; however, I was expected to do a lot of reports for the Corporate office & ownership without given guidance and sometimes didn't even know about certain reports or when they were, as several items due are missing from the company provided Sales calendar, which is supposed to have all items and due dates listed. Due to poor performance during an Ownership call that I found out I needed to be a part of that morning (presenting the "GM Slides," which I assumed was for the General Managers only because they are called "GM & DOS Slides"), I was terminated without warning or any prior write-ups.
