Pros

Livable wage and somewhat decent benefits.

Cons

Good ol boy system. If you dont have a degree you know nothing. The amount of management and salarie employees. Highest turnover of employees I've seen. Lack of respect for their hourly employees. Everyone is expendable.

Pros

Flexible hours, long-term job security, good work environment (good co-workers are key). I like to people I work with on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

Often long hours with no backup: in many areas there is one person with knowledge/experience of the subject/technology. Hard to schedule time off if you're the only person available for support.

Its a paycheck Big on safety

Cons

Does not care for employees Will find any loop hole in the system to punish or fire an employee Company runs on slim to no consumable products and a very small inventory or parts. Runs on minimal employees, always short handed. Constantly changing how they want the mill to run. (log size, overtime, running extra head rig, etc.) Extremely high turn over rate, always new operators which leads to drop in production Poor communication Lack of experience/ intelligence in management
