Pros

Great benefits and pension plan. Most employees seem happy. Compensation for midlevel providers was on the low end of reasonable.

Cons

Middle management was misguided. I'm not sure if it is a system problem or was just in my department. There was a LOT of micromanaging and enabling of drama between employees. I worked in a small outpatient clinic on the campus in South Ogden.

Paralyzed to Take Action

Pros

The pay and benefits are decent, great commute. A lot of employee appreciation events, good food in the cafes. Some mangers actually know what they're doing.

Cons

They are paralyzed with fear over terminating failing executives, but think nothing of using any excuse--even a bald-faced lie--to terminate diligent employees who only want to prop up the appearances shaken by weak leadership. The had been whimpering a lot about budgets, but didn't even blink when a department paid over $4,000 for a chandelier in temporary office space. They don't consistently follow their own policies. Only when it benefits THEM. Some leadership seems to just be biding time until retirement so all the chaff developed under their watch will become someone else's problem.
