Pros

I like Working at ihc. It is generally a good working environment and you get a lot of support on the nursing side of things. You get pretty affordable benefits and good extras like a pension and matching 401k options.

Cons

Intermountain holds a monopoly on healthcare in Utah and because there are so many new grads in just about every field there is a definite pay cut for most new people moving to the area. Count on making around the 30th percentile of the national average here.

Pros

Great company with excellent benefits. Great work ethic in most departments. Most of the people I have worked with are honest, hard working, ethical people.

Cons

Because Intermountain is not for profit, the pay is not as high as other companies. I could probably make a lot more if I worked for a "for profit" company doing the same thing.

Pros

Very flexible with school hours, virtually unlimited supply of knowledge from higher staff and other resources. The manager and team are great to work with, both with school and personal life. Good benefits once hired one.

Cons

Since it is an internship there are no benefits. It is a non profit so salaried pay can be lower than expected.
