Pros

Helping people in our community live longer healthier lives is a fantastic reason to come into work each day. The company actively recognizes employee achievements, contributions and worth to the organization. The organization also frequently sponsors internal employee events such as employee appreciation *week*, weekly fresh fruit, birthday celebrations, employee training events, fun contests, 5K races and giveaways. Fellow employees are very much like family! The camaraderie and frequent kidding among colleagues is contagious.

Cons

Because it is such a great company to work for salaries are significantly lower than other companies. Although loving your job can make up for less money sitting in your bank account. These salary cost savings results in lower healthcare costs for subscribers. Ask your potential team what they love about working here. As mentioned elsewhere some teams are just not as awesome as others.

They try very hard to retain employees and do a lot to keep employees happy.

Cons

Pros

Great culture and atmosphere as a company. The benefits are good, they encourage growth, and the vision of the company is something you can stand behind. The upper management (VP, CEO, etc.) are all extremely supportive and stand with their employees 100%.

Cons

Department management had some questionable behavior. The managers of some departments pick favorites based off who is their friend outside of work. They are not the best at holding everyone equally accountable for their actions, so employees that have integrity get the short end of the stick pretty frequently. Also, communication and effectiveness of the different departments struggles at times when issues span over multiple departments and teams.
