Pros

Dedicated co-workers. Facility upgrades. Recent acknowledgement that salaries are below average, and lip service is being paid to salary increases, although this has not materialized for all employees as yet.

Cons

Horrible communication, from the top down. Lots of corporate double-speak. Deliberate disregard for employee input. Favoritism. No avenues for career growth, unless you're an RN and like to kiss up to management. Poor financial planning: lots of perceived waste (c'mon, hundreds of thousands of dollars to change the LOGO?) Senior leadership/CEO/VPs are now all accountants. None have any clinical experience, and cannot relate to the good people that work in the trenches and help make this company what it is. All decisions are made from a financial standpoint, not a quality patient care standpoint.

Pros

It is a very stable company and is expanding every year. (It is almost a monopoly for the healthcare industry in Utah.)

Cons

Upper management is clearly focused on cost savings and maximizes any savings it can . . . often to the detriment of its employees. This is especially evident in the service departments; employee rosters have been greatly reduced (some departments have been cut almost in half). They are exploiting employees positions and overloading them to save a buck. This is leading to declining quality in patient care.
