Pros

Fantastic benefits -- even a pension plan

Cons

Very rigid. There is a policy for everything, which often creates red tape for solving problems.

Great Company

Pros

Strives for excellence, encourages teamwork, pushes for growth and improvement, rewards employees, and is not for profit

Cons

Doesn't pay the best, but they are competitive within the state of Utah. Utah as a whole does not pay RNs well.

SCL/Exempla is NOT GOOD..

Pros

Good Pay - and a lot of good people.

Cons

Sr. Directors, Directors, and Managers should be fired.. The company is afraid of its own shadow.. They talk about good values however; they do nothing to promote it.. Bad employees are never disciplined, never fired and left in their rolls until they quit, retire, or get promoted. It is sad a poor management is at SCl. The sad part is, they really think they are doing a good job. Maintenance, Nursing, even IS say the something’s.. Management does not lead, and do not work to support staff or deal with poor staff. Ever since Exempla and SCL have merged things have gotten even worse.. Good staff leave and find happiness away from this place..
