Pros

There are none, zero, 0. Seriously there are none. I would rather work at Target, Starbucks, Amazon, and drive an Uber than work here. I was hoping during the merger things would get better. Things have gotten worse. Benefits are terrible. No advancement. Pay is garbage. Management and senior leadership is embarrassing.

Cons

Where to start? Most of the leaders are extremely under qualified with the good caregivers and those with experience and knowledge are always over looked. I rely on anyone other than my supervisors for help and advice. The company is 100%UT and Mormon run. It does feel like a cult. Especially if you don’t believe in the same faith. Friendly to your face but nothing more. There is no opportunities for advancement. There is no diversity. They talk a wonderful game but that’s the Mormon way. Talk and say what people want you to say but don’t walk the walk. You will be shunned if you leave the company, so make sure you are ready to leave. If Intermountain finds out I wrote this I will be let go. The pay is awful, because they own 90% of UT. If you live in CO,NV, MT work anywhere else. They will pay you what you are worth. There are surveys for everything! There are endless meetings about issues with no solutions or accountability. The problems get swept under the rug until next month, when the cycle repeats. DO NOT WORK HERE!! Find a company that will value you and your experience.

We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. Intermountain is committed to life-long learning and providing professional development opportunities for all our caregivers. Upward mobility is a key focus for us. Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. At Intermountain Health, we assess pay on an annual basis, to reflect geography, and as the market changes. Additionally, while the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.
