Pros

Helping patients that are going through a difficult time with their health issues to cope with their situation through listening, caring and supporting them spiritually. I loved that I could pray with my patients.

Cons

If an employee alledgedly makes a mistake that needs to be discussed...or is complained about unfairly, their voice is not heard. They are simply talked to, written up, and their side of the story is not heard. No recourse for proof that you did nothing wrong, even if you have evidence to support your side of the story. You are written up, and possibly fired, no matter what.

Pros

Many good things about Intermountain: flexible work schedule, respect each other, relatively good job security, pension, healthcare benefit

Cons

Reorganization is painful and time consuming. If you're a person pursuing achievement, at least one year from now is not a good time. Salary is good considering living cost in Utah but below national standard.

Good total compensation, although salary lacks competitiveness

Pros

Intermountain offers a number of employee benefits. This reduces costs for most people - particularly long-term employees with families and significant fixed asset investments.

Cons

For those hoping to make a competitive gross salary, Intermountain struggles to meet regional and national standards. If you are hoping to earn what your work is worth, in cash, you may wish to seek other options.
