Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. At Intermountain Health, we assess pay on an annual basis, to reflect geography, and as the market changes. In addition, as a healthcare organization, everything we do is rooted in data, from creating treatment plans for patients to making decisions about our business. Our benefits package is no different. Intermountain offers benefits that support caregivers, maintain affordability and sustainability, stay competitive in the market, and create a consistent experience for all caregivers. Our benefits will continue to evolve based on caregiver feedback and market data. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Pros

The team I worked with was really awesome. I was very part-time as I was a student so I was only there a couple times a week. The pay was good and I even got a few big raises with the minimum wage adjustment bumping everyone up and they did a big raise for the competitive pay adjustment. The year gas prices were extra high in Utah they even did a higher annual raise.

Cons

As swing/“closing” shift we were almost constantly short staffed. It seems this problem wasn’t really addressed, they just wanted us to work harder and faster. I can’t speak to the insurance, 401k, or any of the other fulltime benefits since I was part time, but it seemed like there was a decline in added benefits. Some of my coworkers who had been there several years spoke about how there used to be way bigger Christmas bonuses, free food, games, etc to celebrate holidays and lab week and tiny morale boosters like that. I think the last Christmas i worked there (2022) we didn’t even get any Christmas bonus.

Our benefits will continue to evolve based on caregiver feedback and market data. In addition, while the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.
