Pros

Intermountain has nice facilities. They usually have adequate staff-to-patient ratios. The culture is a good one.

Cons

It seems like they take away little things every year to save money. Ie. instead of contributing to your 401k every paycheck, now it'll be once a quarter. Same amount, they just hold onto it longer. We were able to easily get $50 every quarter for living healthy or whatever they call that campaign. Now it's more difficult to get that. They changed the bonuses from Christmas time to summer time. They used to offer pensions with 401k 4% matching contributions. Now the pension is gone but they'll match to 5%. So they take things away constantly and hide it by giving something else but it is not of equal worth. I worked for them for 8-9 years and every year there is a feeling of taking something away every year. Never giving more or adding benefits. Eventually, it's going to be just as stingy as any for-profit organization without the increased pay.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. As a healthcare organization, everything we do is rooted in data, from creating treatment plans for patients to making decisions about our business. Our benefits package is no different. Intermountain offers benefits that support caregivers, maintain affordability and sustainability, stay competitive in the market, and create a consistent experience for all caregivers. Our benefits will continue to evolve based on caregiver feedback and market data. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.
