AVOID employment here if an experienced RN, they don't pay or value you.
Pros
Great company to work for if you are a young, new RN. You will be paid more and treated much better then experienced RN's.
Cons
IHC has historically set the standard of pay for RN's low in the state of Utah. They have proven over and over again that they don't value or utilize experienced RN's in management roles or salary. Last month they did a regional pay increase in addition to annual increases. The more years of experience an RN has the LOWER the increase was... many nurses compared and in every case the more years experience they had the percent increase declined. While still handing out millions in bonuses to CEO and Board of directors they skimped on paying out regional raises fairly to experienced RN's. Essentially they significantly narrowed the gap between newer RN's and experienced RN's. For example... an RN with 6-8 years of experience is making $4 - $5 an hour less than an RN with 20-30 years experience now. It's insulting that a "regional" pay increase decreases based on years experience, NOT REGION. So, essentially only newer nurses saw an adequate pay increase overall.
