Going downhill

Pros

Front line staff and lower lever managers. Working hard to provide for patients and fellow co-workers

Cons

They talk a lot about valuing the employees and occasionally throw you a appreciation crumb. But ultimately they don’t care and worse realize that they don’t care. I’ve heard as well as from others that the have been told multiple times if you don’t like it the leave. Sure makes you feel heard and valued. Only ones being held accountable are the front line and lower level leaders. If you don’t make Mark Harrison, Rob Allen, and others in Senior management look good then you gotta go. And they are turning over way too much. CEO, COO, CPO and VPs have mostly come from outside the community and have no interest other than their personal career growth . They have destroyed the culture that Intermountain once stood for in the community to include its most valued resource. It’s employees.

Pros

Great people to work with. Benefits are great, employee Incentives, overall a good place to work.

Cons

If you don't have a degree dont expect to move up in the company. Even with my Master's I'm am having difficulty moving up. It who you know not what you know. Management at least where I work is needs more training on mentoring and teaching tattletales instead of being reactive to everything someone says. Be more proactive.
