Used to be the best place to work.

Cons

Was a good place until Marc Harrison and crew were hired. Many, many changes that are setting the company back years.

Not what it used to be

Pros

Great coworkers (for now), benefits are fair,

Cons

Still has the same bureaucracy to deal with, but now you don't have the same job security that you used to. I wouldn't be looking to Intermountain if I were hunting for jobs right now. The University of Utah is the place to turn to if you want to live in the area and work in healthcare.

Pros

It was a great company at one time!

Cons

They are in for the money. Employees are a dime a dozen and the company shows no loyalty to dedicated workers who have given years of their life to IHC. Religion plays a huge part to fit in the culture at Intermountain. It appears that older workers with experience are leaving and are being replaced with young inexperienced workers at a lower wage. This may be due to financial gains for the company or due to age discrimination. Most older worker are custodians and not higher paying clinicians. Look for yourself and you decide. One of the lowest pay in the nation!
