Pros

A paycheck in New Orleans.

Cons

A few cronies run the show and make life hell for everyone else. The CEO is nice but either unaware or complicit in upper management's inexcusable and unprofessional behavior. If you are a woman you will be demeaned and harassed – even by senior management.

Pros

They fed you for the weekly assembly meetings. You could take beaks anytime you wanted. The training they provided was great so you could learn all the different belts you would be building you would be assembling on the lane your assigned. The classroom training was ok too. A little boring but you learned the differences in the belts.

Cons

The women that work there are not the kindest to new people. The company works on a point system. Each belt is worth a certain amount of points. The more points you get in one day, the bigger your paycheck is. Each point is worth about .22 cents and thats IF you build over the point average for each lane. For lane 4, which is where I worked, it was a 55 point average per hour. What they don't tell you is that you have to bust some serious behind to make the average. To me, it was like legalized slave work. If you had one slow day, (like not feeling well, or just didn't sleep right, whatever), it kills your average points for the week, which kills your paycheck. They make you do housekeeping, (sweeping, mopping), but in my opinion, a company that makes that much money a year, should have a company that does that for them. Oh, and dont build a belt incorrectly..they deduct the points for the incorrectly built belt from your check and you get nothing for it, even if it was an honest mistake! They also force you to work overtime. If you put in your 40 hours and they need you to work on a Saturday, and you cant, then you get wrote up. This is just the tip of the iceberg!

Pros

Good company, lots of opportunities if you apply yourself. The pay is DECENT if you have a good incentive, but God forbid you have to take off or have any issues. The knowledge is there with some of the employees.

Cons

Too many unskilled workers stay employed regardless of how terrible they preform. The incentive program is just a way to strip your money in the easiest legal way possible. Base pay should be higher and the incentive should be bonus based, like maintenance and mold shop. Stop worrying about masks and worry about why John Doe can't even do the fundamentals of his/her job on a daily basis. Maybe we should stop hiring friends and focus on qualified people.
