Upper management in Manufacturing is the worst. They don't care for input from the experts who have been with the company for decades. The manufacturing manager(s) are smart, no doubt, but they are terrible with people. They don't respect anyone that reports to them and they treat their employees and the work they do like they don't matter. All the hard work people do never gets recognition and gets dismissed as if it is sub-par even though it is exactly what the employee was asked tasked to do by the managers.

- Little room to advance. Read the reviews here and they all say the same thing about career growth. If you are hired you are expected to stay in the same position for a minimum of two years. You get little side projects here and there to try new things, but at the end of the day they want you to stay in the job you hold. - Base compensation is not that high. You get rewarded well in good years but in bad years where you work just as hard, if not harder, the payoff isn't there. - Poor communication between departments regarding new products, processes, and procedures. The outside sales force over commits to new products that can't necessarily be delivered. - Management fails to acknowledge their mistakes and puts the onus on the workforce to change the way they operate to fit the "new norm" even though it is a step backwards.
