Pros

Challenging work but Code base needs major help.

Cons

Whiskey bottles full of liquor on open display on many desks. Wafts of alcohol in the air. Arrogant leaders. Code reviews are negative assertions on how stupid you are. Required tools that don't work Legacy monolithic code, but leaders talk about how great their practices are. Oh yes, arrogant leaders. A legacy product, on its death bed

Thank you for providing your candid feedback. We appreciate you sharing this information. There are some industries where drinking alcohol in the workplace would be dangerous or inappropriate for a variety of reasons. However, many companies like Ivanti, particularly software, marketing and accounting companies, do permit employees to consume the occasional beer or glass of wine at specific times. Employees in our New Brighton office are known to have a weekly happy hour where alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are shared. Employees are not permitted to become intoxicated, nor are they allowed to consume alcohol at their desks. This isn’t a perk that all of our offices enjoy, simply because it isn’t a perk that employees in all of our offices wish to have. Whether an office enjoys a happy hour or not, we expect ALL of our employees to behave professionally and to promote a healthy and safe work environment. If you would like to share additional details about your experience, we welcome you to contact us at hr@ivanti.com.

Pros

Decent pay, 401k match and some very good products (but, too many in portfolio and overlapping solutions with no clear product roadmap)

Cons

Amazing how accurate the other reviews are...... Worst sales culture and leadership I have ever seen. Sales exec brought his buddies in from another company in 2016/17, which specialized in commodity sales. This is also how they view their reps/and field managers, as commodities. Style is micromanagement, through fear and mistrust. Lack of respect for management led to the highest attrition I have ever seen by far, even on top of the layoffs due overlapping positions with all the acquisitions. This left almost zero sales support and a salesforce in which over 70% had less than one year at the company. Basically, barely anyone who knew the products that well. 3 hour daily pipeline calls at quarter end of quarter were useless and a waste of time. Sales execs screwed up company so bad, they hired a consulting company to try to put out the dumpster fire. All this led to was more unexpected layoffs with even less support. Horrible comp plan and high quotas for Field Sales Reps

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We encourage our successful sales leaders and sales professionals to promote Ivanti to other strong/successful sales professionals. It is not uncommon for former coworkers to follow their former leader or even peers to Ivanti. With our rapid growth following several acquisitions, Ivanti is in a transformational period. Transformations can be difficult and involve all levels of management to ensure alignment and transparency across the organization. As a result, we have lost people who haven’t believed in our vision and those who may struggle in an organization with high expectations and accountability to become world class in short order. Ivanti can be a great fit for qualified individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic, growing and exciting organization. Pros

Some kind, smart individuals and the flexibility of remote work.

Cons

When leadership is unresponsive to ideas or reality checks, and engages in self-congratulatory behavior, it fosters a toxic environment that stifles innovation and open communication. In the marketing department, employees are expected to blindly conform or risk termination, which leads to a culture of sycophancy rather than creativity. This lack of openness extends to critical areas like addressing the major security vulnerabilities that have been all over the press for 6+ months, jeopardizing the brand, customer retention, and employee productivity. The organization is burdened with dead weight, with marketing contributors producing subpar work and senior directors lacking true leadership skills. Hardworking employees are often exploited or criticized for not intuitively meeting leadership's expectations, creating a demoralizing work atmosphere. Despite multiple poor quarters, leadership continues to lay off essential Engineering and Product Management staff—the backbone of the company—instead of addressing the dysfunctional and nepotistic marketing department. This mismanagement leads to an ineffective pipeline and further undermines the company's stability and growth potential.
