Bad For The Profession

Pros

Clinic culture and coworkers can be OK depending on where you are.

Cons

This company is one of the worst physical therapy companies you could work for. They will not value your opinion, license, or morals and put up a front as if all of their decisions are putting patients first (it's actually their investors). They will try to manipulate staff PTs into this way of thinking. Some drink the kool-aid, but most leave within a year or two once they realize how corrupt it is to have private investors involved in a healthcare business. I've never seen a company with this high of turnover. When you decide to leave - all of your PTO will be rendered useless and be told tough luck it's company policy. Their other benefits such as 401k and medical are also way below average but they will make it seem like it's the best. I would say this is a good place to start as a new grad but I've reconsidered. This company will burn you out and make you reconsider this profession. Ivy is always hiring for a reason. It's basically the regional director's sole duty to manage turnover, it's unreal. There are better jobs out there with much better staff retention (for a reason) just keep looking. Don't start your career on a bad note.

Ugh

Pros

My immediate coworkers are great to work with

Cons

Ivy is owned by an investment company. Run by administrators that are vert out of touch with patient care realities. Poor communication. High pressure. Caseload volumes are ridiculous. All about the numbers. Promised raises and bonuses that never happen. Administration is inconsistent with direction. The demands from higher up make it very hard to give quality care. Very easy burn out here.
