Pros

You will get a paycheck

Cons

Open office layout and glass doors on offices, not even management has privacy, this gives way to more distractions and unnecessary drama. Some of the supervisors are young and inexperienced, they have no business managing other people. The Branch Manager is crude and instills a culture of fear and hierarchy that is intended to benefit the company but only hurts it and the employees. Obvious sexism and double standards throughout the office, all the women in higher positions are labeled “scary” or “aggressive” and widely disliked for doing the same things as the men, plus if a woman employee does the same thing as a male coworker, only one will have things held against them. They boast about not firing employees throughout the pandemic, but that’s only because they use staffing agencies instead of hiring people straight away. A majority of the employees aren’t actually hired on, they have warehouse temps that have been “temps” for 5 years. There’s little training with high expectations, which leads to many issues. If you want to walk into an anxiety attack daily that slowly develops into a deep depression, this is the place.

Pros

JAS has lots of branches in different countries and that gives employees the flexibility to move around which is a great thing.

Cons

I'll just focus on the most important items as there are too many to list to be honest. JAS tagline is that people make a difference but they do the absolute minimum for their people. 1-Benefit from salary to health care packages are amongst the lowest compering to other companies 2-No chance of being promoted if you are not A- part of the elite groupe and B-Not European which label them with being discriminatory 3-Too many old dinosaurs still with the company with zero productivity because JAS likes to keep people around if they are sucker and don't leave 4-only hires based on what you have on your resume (especially if you worked for bigger forwarding companies) instead of looking at individual's talent and skillset 5- The rule of 80/20 applies here. People are overworked and underpaid. 6-Higher level managers are just bunch of talkers with no value and riding along because there is not consequences for them. So, think twice if you want to join this company. CEO has promised that he will change the culture from communication to work ethics, let's see. I'll update my note if I see changes but for now its a total disappointment.

Pros

I left as soon as I found out what the company was really like. Benefits are not bad at all.

Cons

I wish I had read GlassDoor reviews before I joined. This place is horrible. I worked in IT and it's the most toxic work environment I've ever worked in. If you are prepared to spy for the CIO and/or his lackeys, you will be promoted. These clique's and rampant nepotism at senior levels is off the charts. The reviews below say it best. Stay clear.
