Pros

The IT department is adequately staffed, does not skimp on IT infrastructure, and has mature processes for change, incident, problem, and release management. Managers, Directors, and VPs work on the floor in cubicles with their teams! Pay/benefits are adequate and they do not lowball on compensation. The workplace is modern and well-maintained. Office politics are minimal, and everyone gets along very well!

Cons

Financially, the company is in bad shape. They declared bankruptcy in 2020 due to COVID business downturn and laid off a huge chunk of their IT department (myself included). If that hadn't happened, I would still be there.

Pros

Paid time off, health insurance, 401k,

Cons

Upper management (home office) is ridiculous and is completely out of touch with what the stores are actually like.

Pros

Honestly the employees are typically so kind and easy to get along with, and overall it’s a very chill workplace. It’s easy to get along with coworkers.

Cons

A lot of the guys get many more hours since they’re “stronger” and I was finding out that a couple of my coworkers were making twice as much as I was simply doing recovery. My department works with online orders and our lack of hours is INSANE, it’s so difficult for us to get anything done. One of my coworkers only works one day a week and she has been working there for about 5yrs now. Not only is lack of hours a problem, but management (at least, at my store) doesn’t know the department at all and will not stop following us around. Our hours are getting cut if we do not do good enough and I couldn’t do well being followed around and getting talked to while things were going overdue. I got yelled at 3x in a day trying to get things done, and of course I got blamed even though my higher ups were wasting my time putting me down. I left my old workplace thinking it would be better here, but it is the complete opposite. I now only feel the obligation to go to work for my coworkers and nobody else. I’ve never felt so sad and angry towards a store in my life.
