Pros

The majority of the team are very hard workers.

Cons

Upper level management is incredibly condescending, inconsistent with direction and generally has unreasonable expectations. There is rarely a work life balance.

Pros

They provide free ice. 20% discount from jcp stores and jcp.com if you like the poor quality slave labor items they sell.

Cons

Abusive and manipulative place. They are stuck 20 years behind but can't catch up fast enough. They use bulling, threats and gaslighting to "keep people in their place". They do not remotely care about the employees or customers (past making a buck). Don't pay fairly and have unrealistic expectations. They are more concerned with what looks good on paper and how it does right now that with long term effects for the customer. Everyone is abused and hurt people hurt people so it is in a never ending hurtful circle. Trust me when I say RUN.

Pros

It was a great company to work for. I was there almost 10 years. Pay was average, but it was stable, a good overall culture. Advancement was very possible and achievable. The discount was great. Up until the former Apple VP came in as CEO, it was easily 5 stars and I would still be there today.

Cons

Once everything went downhill and they brought in a former Apple executive as CEO, it went far downhill. My job was (as well as thousands of others were) eliminated and outsourced to India. I never would have imagined that one person could come in and cause such catastrophic disaster to a company like he did. And he STILL walked away a multimillionaire.
