Pros

monetary incentive for sales add-ons increases money going to employees without creating an unpleasantly competitive sales environment

Cons

low pay. poor management in company at all levels often results in shortages of product and supply. arbitrary, shifting policies cause poor customer experience. feels like the company is being rung out like a towel for profits before being sold off.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, willing to work around your exams if you are a student. JCPenney employee discount is good. Friendly co-workers.

Cons

during my time, if you are not able to get one customer to apply for a JCPenney card then your hours would be cut, not a lot from the beginning but over time they will reduce it, they reduce mine down to 4 hours per month. Sometimes I would be left work alone when its busy and it gets worse when the other employees call of during a busy day and you get no backup even when having 12+ people in line to check out.
