Cons

Zero accountability for salaried leaders. Lack of strategic planning/execution with creating new policies. The company refuses to promote from within yet offers zero development or feedback. More negatives than positives at this point.

Pros

JCPenney can be a great place to work with the right management. I've been with the company for a long time and have seen 8 different store managers. Those that use their own judgement of individuals run the best store. The ones that use judgement of other managers instead of forming their own opinions make work a nightmare. The benefits are great for full-time employees. The job itself isn't hard even though there are less employees.
