Pros

All in all it's a great company. They are a hundred years old and tryingto break out othe old habits.

Cons

It's really hard to get promoted unless you are in the training programs.

Pros

Flexible hours if needed, some freedom if you are on support. Friendly atmospher from customers and associates both. Can be entertaining

Cons

This is all from supports view: no flow of information, ignored, overworked, underpaid, can become stressful if workload piles up.

Pros

JCPenney is a good place to work as a second job or for part time. There are part time benefits available, not that common. There are also benefits like the associate discount that make it great for moms or at the holidays.

Cons

For someone in my field (visual/display), there is not a lot of advancement. Also the company seems to be less focused on store environment and just focused on moving merch in and out quickly. It is also pretty much impossible to get a full time position.
