Pros

Meeting new people/making friends at the beauty studio. Education almost monthly helps with new techniques and staying up to date in the makeup world.

Cons

Employed by JCP not Sephora. Which means you not only have a beauty manager but also the JCP manager to listen to. Hours are based on JCP not Sephora. Was working hard towards a promotion (been with the company for almost a year) and the management didn’t want to promote me because “I didn’t seem ready” but thought it would be a better idea to hire someone with no experience in a leadership position. (Keep in mind it took me about 3-4 months to be fully trained) so in the 3-4 months it would take to train a newby who is not makeup certified I could have been getting extra training on that specific leadership position. They just don’t care.
