Pros

J.D. Power needed change; several issues holding the company back weren't being addressed.

Cons

The new CEO has brought in a significant number of former colleagues from Sterling despite their lack of automotive industry experience. This appears to be part of a deliberate effort to install a trusted inner circle. Whether this strategy will ultimately prove effective remains uncertain. There is a strong emphasis on achieving a near-term exit, as the leadership team’s financial incentives are closely tied to that outcome. Internally, the organization is highly disorganized, with decision-making concentrated at the top and limited pushback from newly appointed leaders. Individuals who did not align with this approach have largely been removed. At the same time, the company is investing heavily in transformation hires without a clear funding path, leading to workforce reductions to offset these costs. This has contributed to ongoing instability. There is hope that J.D. Power will eventually transition to a more stable and sustainable structure. However, its trajectory under private equity ownership has been underwhelming—an outcome that is not uncommon in similar situations. It is widely anticipated that the company may ultimately be sold, potentially mirroring the path of Sterling.

Pros

Clean but crowded office, free parking, occasional leftover food from meetings. Humidifiers were finally introduced to the office.

Cons

- Horrible coffee first of all, coffee pots are thoroughly burnt. - No transparency in decisions made by company that affects our team, no input from our team is ever considered or asked. - Weird and unreasonable answers given when told we couldn't work from home until covid-19, no discussion on if our team will be allowed to continue WFH or if required to return to office. - Management loves to glean information from direct reports, but takes credit for the answers by removing or bcc-ing you to emails sent to vendors and client. - There is no upwards mobility/promotion - outside hires exclusively. HR will laugh you out of their office, call you cute and state how lucky you are to get your foot in the door to work in a office job/their company. They clearly haven't read resumes on file. - Feels very backward for a tech company, women aren't treated as fairly as their male peers.

Pros

I never got to experience any positives.

Cons

I never actually got a chance to work here. I was offered a position. Accepted and signed my offer letter. Was sent all the information to have my background check and onboarding completed. Gave notice at my current employer. 2 days later they rescinded my offer with zero explanation
