Pros

Good time off and holidays. Once you're in, you can stick around forever. Medical benefits were good too. I learned a lot about office culture.

Cons

JEVS doesn't think outside the box or innovate in its field. Some shake ups in the senior staff would do the place good. I noticed a lot of infighting and nastiness from some long time employees. Not a lot of room for career advancement or raises. My requests for more responsibility were always denied. A lot of talk about budget cuts, but the org seemed very wasteful as a whole.

Pros

Great company mission of helping others. Really try to take care of its employees. Highly visible within the city and the field of work. Good work life balance.

Cons

Compensation on all levels are very low and not competitive, with the exception of executive management. Loose out on highly qualified talent due to salary. Employee union.
