      Good benefits; poor office politics

      Pros

      Paycheck and benefits. The job does require some brains but really any trained idiot can do it.

      Cons

      Office politics. Supervisors are allowed to have "favorites" who are given special priviledges just because they are trained in kissing butt.

      Pros

      Great employees (friendly, helpful...etc). Spirit or togetherness. There is good communication between functional groups. When things go wrong there is not a lot of blame. Management is generally focused on just getting things corrected. jack Henry matches your 401k dollar for dollar for 5%. Health benefits are really good.

      Cons

      Some areas/products have weak middle management. In some cases the project managers have way too many concurrent projects.

      Pros

      A lot of very smart, dedicated, supportive people. It is a real family atmosphere, people pitch in to help others when they can. Employees are treated very fairly. One of the best jobs I've ever had - and I've been around this business for 20+ years.

      Cons

      They can be cheap when it comes to buying equipment and software tools that aren't absolutely essential. Marketing is a complete joke, there is no solid brand identity, just a mish-mash of three companies and their products.
