So political, it is all who you know. Using tax dollars to give upper management huge raises and promotions. Managers who are clueless yet get promoted, have their staff do managerial tasks and take the credit. It is all in who you know. Sadly many talented staff are leaving because of this. Sexual harassment is tolerated, yet staff says nothing in fear of repercussions. Too much outsourcing of private information of patients. Racism is rampant, rules and policy only apply to a few. if you are friends with a manager the rules don't apply.

Many non-clinical executives have their jobs due to county patronage. They add little to no value but they sure look good in their suits. Very poor management skills by many non-clinical executives. No compulsory performance reviews with employees. High level executives and managers get terminated without any performance improvement plan or constructive/negative feedback. Working here is akin to working for county government (not a compliment). Low sophistication of many manager and above levels. Divisions work in silos, no best practice sharing.
