      Pros

      -Busy all the time if you do not like just sitting around. -You learn a lot. -The organization's mission is amazing. -Salary and benefits. Free to low health insurance.

      Cons

      -Very hard to have a work-life balance. Management and team will call and text you when you are on vacation or after hours. Every thing is needed "ASAP" -My department makes racist and sexist comments and gossips all the time (leadership included). Nothing is done to stop it. -There is favoritism in all departments. -Micromanagement. -Management that does not do anything. Other employees in the department get things done, but management takes credit. -HR and leadership will not listen to complaints or reports. They say they are here to "help" you, but nothing gets done or corrected.

      Pros

      It is a large hospital where you can grow clinical skills with a wide variety of patient populations. As a full-time employee healthcare with the first tier plan is free. Tuition reimbursement for certain professions. RN to BSN program.

      Cons

      The culture there makes it an exhausting place to work and stay working. Leadership does not know how to manage workers. There is such a toxic culture where you get in trouble for everything but nothing gets fixed. They tell you you're doing a horrible job, but don't help or support you when you tell them why you can't do your job to the ability you want to because of xyz. Patients' families are always complaining about the lack of continuity of care and they are right. No one communicates. Lots of blind eyes when it comes to things. No accountability.
