A great culture and a fun place to work with talented people

Pros

The experience as a new employee has been great. It was better than other companies I worked at. The team made me feel welcome from the interview process, to the communications before joining, to the first day experience, to employee product training. The founders and leaders are very accessible, transparent in all communications and empower the team to do their best. The company pays a lot of attention to hiring people that will fit well with the culture and it shows in how everyone respects each other and works as a team. There are great perks like free breakfast and lunch everyday which really saves time. The company is growing really fast which means that there should be lots of opportunity in the future.

Cons

Since I am pretty new I haven't seen too many other then the usual challenges for a fast growing company where new processes are being put in place and this creates some change but it feels necessary.

Good work-life balance; good amenities; good community.

Cons

Not a whole lot of structure; management doesn't seem super trained in actual management.

Pros

Lots of mentorship opportunities available. (Lunch and Learns, 1:1 mentorship, etc) Management is always on board with any ideas you have for your personal growth. Management is always helpful with career coaching and setting goals. Experience with a variety of technologies: Ruby on Rails, JS, Ember, Postgres, etc. Experience with the whole software development lifecycle (Planning, Development, Testing, QA, Deployment) and an awesome Agile Coach to help the team stay on track and enhance their processes! Not pigenhole-d into a role, you get experience with frontend, backend, databases, etc within the scope of iterative features. Leadership and Management very open to feedback! Super great, knowledgable and humble people to work with!

Cons

It seems like the attitude around working from home is not very positive so there are limited opportunities to do that. Starting salary is average. It seems like the company spends a lot of money on hosting extra curricular events (food + drinks) that do not have much of an impact in terms of "getting the word out" about the company. As the company gets bigger, the culture seems to be changing a bit (but that is unavoidable with any growing company). Couple salary reviews are done in a year but it takes few months for them to come into effect and are not effective immediately at the next pay check which I find a bit odd.
