Pros

Cons

Political - Hopefully you're friends first and employees second. Hope that the role you're hired in is the PERFECT FIT. HR (or people ops as they like to call themselves) said many times "We'll only move top performers" Which boils down to this. Hopefully your very good at what your hired for, so you can grow into a better role. If you're hoping they will work with you to find your strengths and play to them. They will not. Top performers even for lateral moves within the company. Expect feedback to fall on deaf ears. I spoke directly with my director when a coworker was moved into a new role as my boss. Indicated that I believed there would be issues, and sure enough there were. My direct boss wasn't even apart of the meeting where I was told I was no longer going to be a part of the team.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. You’ve raised some important points. We're currently working on bettering the process on how we communicate internal moves. Knowing that we’re going to keep on growing, we do want to make sure the process is as straightforward and supportive as possible for our team members. We’re also building a competency framework with the goal to further highlight the strengths for each of our roles. Again, thank you for taking time to leave a review.

Pros

- Casual work atmosphere - CEO, CTO and many other leaders are great people - Lots of opportunity to learn for junior staff - Real good designers and product managers - Great communication with non-technical staff - Culture and social atmosphere are fantastic

Cons

Just the usual: - There's a couple of d-bags (you put 100 people in a room and odds are...) - Sometimes communication issues can slow down productivity - No remote work
