Pros

Very friendly work environment and good work life balance. The company spend lots of resources on developing sustainable technologies, like fuel cells and water treatment. Not to mention the world's best selling autocatalyst, which makes a cleaner air for modern economies.

Cons

Upward movement through the company can be rather slow for aspiring individuals.

Pros

As it is a big name in chemicals industry, it is a good job to start with. Also, there are opportunities to move within the company to different sites in the UK. Free lunches, share scheme and pensions are quite good as well.Research chemists and analytical development chemists should apply for sites other than London, although it is possible later on to apply for these posts once you are in the company. A growing company expanding to new 1st century businesses. cutting edge research and development in numerous areas. Good culture and true multinational.

Cons

Depends where you work and what you want to achieve.Clearly ask if the role is routine work or a bit of variety and then decide if you want to go for it. Salary is above average for a graduate chemist. Too much power in local management hands, who can always hinder development in the role.
