Pros

-Many employees are there for the right reasons and actually care about the job -Decent 401K -Stable company -Pay large part of medical benefits

Cons

-Lazy coworkers -No room for Advancement unless your friends with the management -Rigid vacation with blackout dates only given to those that management like -Antiquated systems leading to many crashes and many of the IT dept are incapable of fixing the issue -Morale in the more than 10 years there has plummeted -Training used to be a full 2 weeks to start and now it is a few days with barely anything covered. People come out of training knowing little to nothing and don't get anything but resentment from coworkers having to teach them what Training should have -Low Salary - they say its competitive but it is not -"Bonus" program - while happy to be given anything the formula is so confusing you can't figure out what it should be -Coworkers are clique -No longer family orientated -You get penalized for taking a sick day. They would rather you come in and infect your coworkers than rest -Management turns a blind eye on serious issues and instead penalizes you for having the wrong kind of sandals on -Transition from one COO to several senior managers who shared the position changed the entire culture at the CU. Bringing in many executives from corporations to make the culture more profit and results driven resulted in the loss of compassion within the company

Awful Work Environment, Awful Pay

Pros

Paid lunch break, that’s about it.

Cons

When I first started I really liked working here, but then I became management. First, the district managers micro manage your every move and call out employees in meetings or over chat and are super condescending, no one ever wants to ask questions which leads to people making mistakes. Not only do they micro manage, there is no support or collaboration when it comes to making your goals they basically tell you this is what your goal is, figure it out. They have favorites and it’s very disgusting in your face. They give promotions to certain people who do not deserve and do not have the talent to be in that position. Also, there is no training for supervisors or managers, once you are promoted from MSR they have you “shadow” your current supervisor or manager for maybe a week or two. So you have a lot of supervisors and managers set up for failure, it’s really sad to see people be excited for a position to be then let down by lack of leadership and support. Tons of turnover on the MSR side because of pay, even managers get paid REALLY low. I’m talking at least 10,000 dollars below what a manager or supervisor would make at other companies. Now I also have a bone to pick with back office, no one answers their phones, you can call down the directory list and not a single person will pick up, and when they do they sound SO annoyed to help you with anything. A very unprofessional company and I’m sure if the CEO knew how district management treated their staff he would be unhappy. The CEO is the only good thing about this place, very nice and personable comes to the branches to meet everyone and is always in such a great mood. So if you like working in a toxic environment, with little to no support from your management team and a laughable wage, then this is the place for you.

Pros

Very good benefits package. Affordable medical plan. Pension plan. These are some of the reasons employees stay.

Cons

Totally depends on department or branch location that you work in and who is on your management team. Some team leaders are professional and caring--others are not. Some managers totally lack skills to manage, motivate or even communicate with staff. Can make it a difficult and frustrating place to work. Significant employee turnover.
