Very rewarding job, you get to know the kids very well and usually end up loving most of them. It's great working in a center because you get to know your co-workers well and there is a nice sense of camaraderie!
Cons
I think it's the nature of the job but the energy and effort it takes at this job should really be compensated better. Employees had to clean the center a lot when I was there, I wished there was a more regular cleaning service.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. We agree that working with our learners and taking part in changing their developmental trajectory is priceless! We love that our center-based model allows for a team-oriented environment that reinforces continuous training and mentorship as well as allows our staff to support each other on a daily basis. We take employee feedback seriously, and in doing so we created career pathways within JAC. This allows our Behavior Technicians to move into new positions with increased pay scales as their experience in ABA and the company grows. Especially due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we have increased the amount of employee required cleaning as well as increased professional cleaning services (including deep cleaning and fogging) to ensure the safest environment for our team and the learners whom are entrusted with our care.
JAC places a high priority on training for staff and quality services for the learners.
Leadership is constantly working on making JAC the best it can be and uses scientific data and research to constantly improve services to make the largest impact on the clients and their families.
They actively care about the wellness of the employees through their different health and wellness initiatives.
Cons
The company went through a full reorganization before Covid-19 and then has had to make additional changes to adjust to operating during the pandemic as they are an essential healthcare provider. So it can seem like a lot of changes have happened in the last two years.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very happy that you enjoyed our emphasis on quality training and career pathways within our organization. We are sorry to hear that you felt there were so many cons to working at JumpStart. We had just completed a reorganization of the company when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, so we can see how it felt like policies were changing often. We were proud to remain open as an essential healthcare provider, however it did bring many challenges and changes to continue to ensure the health and safety of our learners and employees. To address burnout we have updated our hours of operation and transitioned to a block scheduling system to enhance work/life balance. Our staff are required to help maintain cleanliness of our centers, however we have also contracted with a third party to clean all three of our centers outside of operating hours to compliment this policy. Thank you again for your feedback.
