A relative of mine placed her grandson at Jumpstart when he was three years old. He learned nothing at all, not one single thing. His development and his emotional well being went downhill fast. They boast its one on one therapy but they take your child to a back room and the parent is not allowed to participate or even be in the same room as their child. If you want to see your child and how he is learning they will put you behind a wall where your child doesn't even know your there and allow you to observe for a couple of minutes. You cant say hi or bye to your child you cant let them know you came to their school to check on how they are learning or how the session is affecting them. Its barbaric and hateful and it just shows that they have no respect for the child. If they treat them like this in front of the parent imagine how they act all alone with your child in that back room alone. I'm sorry but these agencies need to start doing better than this. These are trained professionals and knowing and seeing a child making absolutely no progress and going down hill fast they should be humane and tell the parent their therapy isn't working and suggest another center where a different kind of therapy could be helpful to the child. Instead they let the child just continue the therapy that obviously does not work. Shame on these people. These are children whose lives are depending on these professionals who chose this line of work. Obviously money is more important . Parents stand up to these people, a parent should be able to check on their child and participate in their therapies. No one should have to take a child and hide or be alone with them. Plus Jumpstart Autism Center does not provide a public education which is required by federal law for disabled children. I'm sorry to have to say these things but to see a child make no progress what so ever and staff is ok with it is just wrong.
Good training and some supportive co-workers, and rewarding work.
Cons
Favoritism, nepotism, cliquey, over structured, being singled out if someone doesn’t like you, and bad PTO/sick leave, bad pay.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Respecting constructive feedback is one of our core values and we welcome helpful critiques. Like most employers, we have policies and structures to cultivate safe and inclusive spaces to learn and grow for both our team and learners. Our growth mindset means we are always evolving as a behavioral health provider and employer. This is why our paid time off and sick leave days are rolled into one bank so that our team has more flexibility in using their well-deserved time off. On that same note, within the last month, we have rolled out pay increases for our Behavior Technicians. If you have more thoughts on constructive improvements, please send them to info@jumpstartaba.com.
